Kingdom Treasures – Lesson 5

YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE OR YOUR DESTINY

This week we’ll talk about destiny killers, and the first one I’d like to address is ourselves. We have the ability to be the greatest aborter of our own destiny. Why am I saying this?

When our character is flawed and we are assigned or commissioned to perform a task for the Lord, we must pass several tests. The character test serves as the final approval to be recognized in the field in which we are called to operate.

Before we proceed, we must first define the term destiny.

DESTINY implies something predetermined and frequently implies a great or noble course or end.

Let us now examine the biblical definition of destiny.

What does this word mean according to the Bible? Destiny simply refers to God’s pre-conceived plan and purpose for his children.

It is important to note that it says God’s plan, not man’s plan.

We have also received an inheritance through Him, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will” (Ephesians 1:11)

Simply put, God had a plan and a purpose for each and every person long before they were born.
